The Gate at The Murieta Inn and Spa aims to be a one-of-a-kind restaurant and bar that will service visiting hotel guests and area locals alike. Following the tenets of the “Farm-to-Fork” movement, Chef Brian Hawkins will seek inspiration from The Inn’s own five-acre farm and state-of-the-art greenhouse to create the Inn’s seasonal menus. Chef Hawkins works closely with local ranchers to secure the restaurant’s meats, poultry and even fish from nearby Passmore Ranch. Menus will consist of bright yet hearty fare representing America’s regional cuisines and will feature a wide variety of scratch made products from the farm. Grains will also be represented as The Gate will maintain a full bakery program creating the Inn’s breads, desserts and other baked goods.

If you’re looking to wet your whistle, The Gate’s beverage program will feature: a variety of tap beers from the region’s burgeoning craft beer scene, fine wines from the nearby Amador wine country as well as the hotel’s private bourbon collection. Craft and classic cocktails will focus on premium spirits enhanced with fruits, flowers and other botanicals from the Inn’s farm.

No matter the time of day, guests will have a variety of dining and beverage options throughout The Gate’s many hospitality outlets. Breakfast with buddies before a golf game, craft cocktails at the bar, appetizers with friends at the community table or a business luncheon in one of our spacious booths are just some of the engaging possibilities within The Gate’s main dining room. For a special occasion or more intimate experience, guests can enjoy the finery inside the Bourbon Room dining room and whiskey bar. When entertaining a large group, guests can reserve the Inn’s Legacy Ballroom for receptions for up to 450 guests, and seated dinners for up to 200. Regardless of where you sit, The Gate’s attentive service staff will fulfill your every need allowing you to enjoy the food, atmosphere and each other.
